This self-paced virtual course is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of suicide risk, assessment, and prevention for counselors, therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals. Multiple aspects are covered, including:

- Documentation and Legal Implications
Learning objectives:
- Understand the statistics and facts around suicide
- Expand understanding of and diverse approach for identifying risk factors, warning signs and symptoms of suicide in various populations
- How to take a multicultural view when assessing and supporting clients in crisis
- Grow necessary skills for documentation, treatment planning, safety planning and client support
- Develop a strong understanding of suicide for all facets of the community, and the integral role counselors, therapists, social workers and other mental health professionals play in supporting clients in need
